Though there are wide range of gigantic Cranes available in the world, for smaller and medium-scale industrial applications, there are many different types of Cranes viz. Jib Crane, either wall mounted or piller mounted and consists of a horizontal Jib (beam) in which the hoist to be installed and it rotates either full/partial horizontal rotation.
Floor Crane having a single arm (Boom) (& having hook at end point) which can be useful for handling any odd-objects where persons/any other objects cannot go. Gantry cranes have a horizontal beam and end supports or legs with wheels so that heavier loads can be easily handled.
